1840s Ballroom wedding of Christy and Matt

Wow! It’s been a while and things have been going crazy out here in California, but I haven’t forgotten about my latest wedding and wanted to share some of the awesome images from Christy and Matt’s wedding.  Christy and Matt were married at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Towson on a day that was sunny, and cloudy, and windy (50 mile an hour winds at one point) and rainy.  Gladly, the weather cooperated for everyone, and it didn’t rain except for a bit of time during the ceremony and on the way to the reception.  We were able to get photos of the girls and guys outside during the breaks in weather and the rain didn’t dampen the dancing spirit at all!

Stephanie Day from Dreamday Planners made sure everything went as planned.  She was great to work with and was there when I arrived, and there at the end of the night, packing up the gifts and making sure every last detail was wrapped up.  The day went off without a hitch, right on schedule, without Matt or Christy having to worry about a thing! David Orlando from Orlando Entertainment was the DJ of the evening, and this crowd had no problem getting on the dance floor for him!  I’ve worked with David at many weddings, and he always manages to get the party going, but this was rocking from the first dance on.

I had a great time at Christy and Matt’s wedding and am so glad that they chose to work with me.   There are times when you can sense the connection between not just the couple, but the family as well and I could tell that everyone at their wedding was there for them to support and enjoy their wedding day!Check the slideshow and a few of the images below:

Strathmore Mansion wedding of Kelly and Bruce

Well, I had a great and busy weekend before Thanksgiving and want to share images from the weddings I shot while I was back in Maryland.   Kelly and Bruce were married on Friday the 14th of November at the Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda Maryland.  It was a cool and wet evening, but the Mansion was just perfect for the intimate wedding ceremony and reception they held.  Kelly is one of the few brides that I had not met with prior to her wedding date.  Her sister Kim hired me to shoot her wedding in Nassau next spring and subsequently recommended me to Kelly.  I’m so glad she did! Kelly and Bruce had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the Ballroom of the Strathmore Mansion, then held their dinner throughout the first floor.  At the end of the reception we jumped on the Metro stop right next to Strathmore, and rode it down to the Bethesda stop for some portraits in the Metro.  We got some really unique images!  Check out the slideshow below!

Swan Harbor Farm wedding: Anne and Joe

What a fabulous way to wrap up my Maryland wedding season before heading to San Diego!  Anne and Joe were married at Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace, Maryland and they couldn’t ask for a better more beautiful day in late October than the one they got.

The night before their wedding it absolutely poured, and although the weather reports were coming in that it would be sunny and warm on Sunday, I still had a concern that it had rained too long and too hard for the ground to dry in time for their wedding.  Well I, like Anne and Joe woke up on Sunday morning to see a gorgeous Maryland fall day.

Joe’s son and daughter played a big role in their wedding day as Tim walked his grandmothers down the aisle, and Lauren was a flower gi … errr … Junior Bride’s Maid (I was quickly corrected about the role and responsibility Lauren would be playing in the day by Lauryn herself!) :-) After the ceremony we rode down to the dock overlooking the Chesapeake Bay and took some photos of Anne and Joe.

Anne is a hokie and although Joe isn’t officially, he has been adopted into their world.  If you don’t know what I mean, Virginia Tech fans are like none other, and every VT wedding I have shot in the past has paid tribute to their alumni.  Anne and Joe’s was no different, in fact their family and bridal party ran into the reception in VT style to Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’.  The entire reception was a blast and the weather held out throughout the day so that people could enjoy dancing under the tent as well as wandering the grounds of Swan Harbor Farm, or playing Twister!

Check out a few of the images in the slideshow below, if you want to see the rest, register to view their wedding photos on Pictage.
