Virginia Photoshoot

What happens when you take four photographers, one makeup artist and assistant, one hair stylist and twelve models to a farm in Virginia? Well, I guess a lot of things COULD happen, but the answer I was looking for was ‘you get some really amazing images’.

At the beginning of June, Nicole Palermo (who I know you’ve heard me talk about before) drove to a farm just west of the Shenandoah Mountains to spend the day photographing and making up some really amazing models. Rudy Solorzano drove all the way down after doing hair all morning for a wedding that day. When he arrived he tore through the twelve models and did some amazing hair in record time!

We had an amazing day too! We had overcast skies, bright sun, a little bit of rain, and some really ominous clouds (look at them out in the second to last image!)I’ve only selected a few images from the day (I shot a ton) but check them out below.  Virginia Photoshoot

Thanks to all the models for coming out I had a blast meeting and having the opportunity to work with all of you! And special thanks to Nicole for getting twelve models to show up at a remote farm in Virginia with only four days notice!!!!!!!

Alyson and Lowell eSession!

Alyson and Lowell and I got together at their home in Canton, and drove down to Fells Point for their engagement session on Sunday.  Even though Alyson said she was not fond of being photographed, Lowell did an awesome job of getting her to relax and just be herself.  I think we got some great, really fun photos on a cloudy day in downtown Baltimore.  After photographing around the harbor some, we went back to their rooftop deck for some photos of the city.  They were a blast to hang out with, and I can’t wait for their wedding at the end of summer! Check out some of my favorite shots from their morning!

It’s Baby Portrait Time!

YEAH!!!! I haven’t had the opportunity to do baby portraits in quite a while. One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is the connections that I make with my couples and their families. I photographed Laura and Michael’s wedding over two years ago, and Laura’s sister, Anna and Joe’s wedding a year before that, so I was thrilled when Laura contacted me to photograph their new baby girl. Laura contacted me earlier in the year to talk about it, and decided to wait until Abby was able to sit up on her own and was more reliable with her reactions; smiling, laughing, etc. We did the studio white backdrop shots, but then did some more fun ones in the nursery with Abby surrounded by her stuffed animals and toys, as well as with her mom and dad.

Take a look at just a few of the photos from Abby’s portrait session.
