The winter is the time of year I work on all the things that I don’t have time to do during the year. A lot of it is not fun stuff, taxes, administrative work, updating computer systems, buying additional storage for the coming year, you get the idea. One of the fun things that I get to do though is to review all the images that I shot over the past year, re-evaluate all my work, and update my portfolio. It gives me a great perspective to see the images I created this past year compared to the images I have created before that. I also get excited because I can see how much my style and work has changed and it makes me anxious to get started on a new wedding season to improve even more, and share that work with my clients. When you check back, hopefully in the next week, the website will be completely redesigned. I wanted to share a couple of the rough drafts of what we’re looking at doing. Shawn from Liquified Creative has been working with me over the past couple years and I’m thrilled that he’s working on not only my website but also on updating my logo. I’m sure the site will change somewhat before it’s posted but I wanted to share a sneak peak. I’m really excited about it!

Well, I’m a little late getting these images up, but I wanted to share them. A couple weeks ago, most of the US was able to observe a full eclipse. In Maryland, it was snowing and cloudy all day, so I didn’t bother bringing my long lens with me over to Kristy’s house. However, around 8:00pm, just shortly after the eclipse began, Kristy’s son Tyler called to say the sky was clear. I grabbed what I had with me and started taking photographs in 15 minute increments all the way through to the end of the eclipse after 12:00am. Below are a couple images from that night, click on the images to see the full size versions.

The third time’s a charm! The 2008 edition of Baltimore Bride has been out since early January, and I just wanted to post that I’m thrilled to have several images from last year’s weddings to be featured for the third year in a row! It’s thrilling, flattering, and a great feeling to have such a great publication feature my couple’s wedding photos in their magazine. For the second time one of my shots was used for the feature article on music, I guess having a musical background helps? And if you can’t tell, that’s my dear friend Nicole’s hand used for the feature article on makeup.I want to once again thank all my couples who trust me to document their day and give me the chance to create such wonderful images. I’m looking forward to the 2008 season - just around the corner - I can’t wait to share my images from this coming year!Check out the images below to see the feature article images. Baltimore Bride is on newsstands at Barnes and Noble, Borders and Whole Foods Markets (that’s where I always manage to see it first) among other locations.
