That’s right, I spent the weekend in prison up in Pennsylvania! OK, well, weekend might be a stretch, it was just Saturday, and I went in voluntarily, oh - and it was a non-functioning prison, so … in other words, I had a four-hour photoshoot in Eastern State Penitentiary with some great models and other photographers. Special thanks to Allison Britton for putting this all together, and to Nicole Palermo who’s as awesome as ever getting the makeup on all the models in sub-freezing conditions. And of course all the models who also braved the COLD weather to stand around in a falling down prison for the enjoyment of us photographers. We’re a weird bunch!It was an AMAZING location for a shoot - check it out!     

Hello everyone, it’s been a long time, and some people may be wondering if I disappeared. As many of you know this is the ’slow’ time of the year for us event photographers, and while ’slow’ may mean we’re not shooting a lot of events, it doesn’t by any means mean we’re not working.

I have managed to take some time off from work for a bit of vacation; cabin in the woods of Virginia, sitting by the fire, drinking wine, etc. But, I have also been extremely busy recharging my brain, meeting with other photographers, looking ahead to the new wedding season, and planning on BIG things for this year and next!

I’ve got a lot of updates and surprises coming in the new year. Keep on the look out for a new website design as well as a sister site. I’ve got lots of new images to share with everyone as well as bishophotography in the news!
